The Infinite House Series

Working in ink on paper and drawing inspiration from the fluid traditions of Chinese calligraphy, Borton brings the concerns of his wider practice into sharper focus through an exploration of gestural automatism as a means of articulating emotion in its most distilled and immediate form. His marks emerge instinctively, bypassing conscious control to access a more direct, unfiltered mode of expression.

The result is a series of compelling, highly original works in which purity of gesture and raw emotional resonance converge. Unmistakably his own, they echo the same drive for authenticity that underpins his broader artistic journey.
